HOW HAPPY ARE YOU… LETS SHARE!!!
Being surrounded with so called advancements, smart technologies, and latest equipment have failed to understand and even read the thoughts one can have in their brain. Diabetes, stroke, HIV/aids or even the cancers have found its way to survive and make space in the society but the depression. May be all this advancement is the reason why depression is taking over all this diseases.
According to American Psychiatric Associationdepression can be defined as “a common and serious mental illness that negatively affect how you feel, the way you think and how you act.” As a whole depression see no gender, no age, no colour, no race or even no countries. Scary…isn’t it!!! It might hurt you, me or anyone, may be not today but obviously in the long run of our existence.
Self investigation is very essentialto figure out if you are really under mild, moderate or severe depression, but the most difficult part of it is to accept the result after the investigation or even accept it and dare not to share it. There are wounds that are never illustrated in the medical books and those are the wound on the body that are even deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds. Depression seems to affect the multiple areas of the brain including prefrontal cortex, hippocampus, amygdale and thalamus. Depression results from abnormalities in the interaction between neurotransmitters and hormones in the brain, such as hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, serotonin, dopamine systems, neuropeptides and brain-derived neurotropic factors (BDNF), and can lead to structural changes in the brain. “No one can save us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.”- BUDDHA
Aetiology behind depression are quite normal like abuses, diseases, old age, loss of loved ones, unexpected failure, over expectation etc. but left untold may even cause death or in other word called “suicide”. In annual age-adjusted suicide rate is 13.6 per 100,000 individuals. On average there are 121 suicides per day. As per advancing human era we are forgetting our myth and values for ourselves. We try so hard to imitate others that we forget who we are. Just because we think we are worthless does not make it true. This is how each one of our life is. Everyone is going through their own stories. So…it’s time to share. If we don’t fight against depression now, one day it will kill us back. You are not only the one who is suffering from it. I am you are and everyone around us has become its prey. Anger, suffering and depression are all part of being human. SO LET’S SHARE….!!!
